We've decided to dig up a golden oldie and reintroduce to you the monthly themes! Get inspired by the chosen theme to build a house, make some new clothing, recolor a rug or maybe even a mod. Anything goes! This is not a contest, entries are not judged, everyone's a winner and you can post as many uploads as you like! A shiny new achievement sticker will be waiting for you when you've uploaded your entry.
March Theme - A Day at the Beach
Think sea, sundresses, sand, seagulls and shorelines!
The Rules[list][*]The usual creator guidelines apply to all uploads. [*]Anything goes! As long as it's somewhat related to the theme, sadly Santa and Rudolph won't get you a sticker. [*]Only uploads that are uploaded before March 31 will receive an achievement sticker. We will look at the date it has been uploaded to the queue, don't worry about waiting times for moderating [*]Tag your upload with this tag: themebeach. This way it is much easier to keep track of uploads and we know that you are participating in the monthly theme. [/list ... read more

Official MTS 2015 Calendar Contest Results
Happy New Year everyone! We're a day behind but we blame the wondrous festivities!
Congratulations to everyone who participated in our calendar contest. We loved seeing what all of you came up with. This was the first year for TS4 and, with it only a couple months old, it was really fun seeing what could be done with it. For a few of you, your entry was actually for first post on MTS so welcome! Everyone did a great job and narrowing it down to our winners was really a task but we're finally ready to announce the winners. Everyone be on the lookout for your achievements, stickers, and, if applicable, blue ribbons. Congratulations again!
Our winners are as follows: read more

Official MTS 2014 Calendar Contest
November has rolled around again, bringing with it our annual calendar contests! Starting today, we are launching not one, not two, but three calendar contests for 2015. The contests will run for the entire month of November. There will be one specific for each game. This contest will give you a chance to share unique screenshots from your game depicting the calendar year.
The theme this year is centered around the classic Miss/Mr concept and should be a "modeling-esque" shot with your single sim as the main focus representing the "feel" of a particular month. A winner will be chosen for each month for, up to, a total of 36 winners (12 for each game)!
For Details and a chance to enter visit the game thread of your choice (or even all 3)!
Just a note: this year, with having 3 different contests to run and a possible of over 500 entries, I have enlisted the help of some other moderators to help run them. justJones will be ... read more
Like Sims 4's cartoony vibe, but hate EAs default eyes? Check out these defaults by Helianthea! They are more than just pretty – the creator went out of her way to make sure they're 100% perfect, and wrote a bunch of tutorials as well to share what she learned in the process!
As some of you may be aware, Sims4Forum has been copying and hosting sims 4 content from all over the web, without explicit permission from the creators. Indeed, in some cases, they have hosted content that specifically had a TOU stating not to upload elsewhere. Additionally, the site is monetized allowing the forum owner to profit from these works that have been stolen from around the web and hosted without permission. Despite his claims, this IS copyright infringment.
Copyrights include intellectual property that is "fixed in a tangible medium of expression". The owner is the only one with the right to control reproduction, redistribution, and display of the work. Also, the copyright ownership is valid as soon as the work is fixed in the tangible medium. What does that mean for sims? If you have created any piece of custom content, it is fixed in a tangible medium of expression. It's no longer just an idea and therefore, you are the sole owner of that piece of work. You have copyright over the items you have produced and it cannot be distributed or displayed without your permission. (Source: Copyright Basics; AllLaw.com)
So what can you do if your content is being hosted somewhere you did not authorize?

I hope those of you who've bought TS4 are enjoying playing it, and those of you who haven't are enjoying the immense satisfaction of that. We have a bunch of TS4-related updates for you today:
Sims 4 Studio
The Simlgical guys have released a new modding tool called Sims 4 Studio, which you can check out here. Make sure you've updated your copy of ColorMagic too, as the latest version includes some important bugfixes!
We've now put our first lot of TS4 upload moderation rubrics, and Creator Guidelines, live. We're learning as we go just like you guys, so please forgive any mistakes, and feel free to question or bend anything that doesn't seem to make sense. If you're uploading a groundbreaker, don't worry about the lack of rules - just make sure you're giving all the textual and pictoral info you reasonably can, and we'll be very happy to host your lovely ... read more
